![]() Navigating music and Video The new iPod function (i.e music and video player storage) on the iPhone comprehensively overhauls the functions and navigation of existing MP3 and iPods. Navigating with a touch screen (as opposed to scroll wheel or joypad) will take some getting used to, but a little investment in time and effort will pay dividends in usability. How much music and video In the early model you are looking at roughly 500 songs and 7 hours of video, or something equivalent (obviously depending on the compression etc). The iPhones hard drive is not huge compared to other comparable devices so you may have to choose your video content carefully and take the time to compress videos ripped from DVD or such like. Will it communicate with my TV and computer? iPhone will not output video to a TV like an iPod will. Although the iPhone will communicate with Apple Mac computers to sync contacts, bookmarks etc, you cannot drag and drop tracks and files, which would have been convenient.
