iPhone is a smartphone, so called because it combines two, hitherto separate, everyday functions: email and telephone. The iPhones mail programme is strong, displaying email messages, formatted as they might appear in outlook or any other computer mail client, along with most common attachment file types.

Email Functions
The main functions of any major mail client, that we are all used to by now, are all included on the iPhone: creating new email, choosing a recipient from a list of contacts, replying and forwarding mails etc. When you set up iPhone, iTunes will transfer all your account preferences and details from your Macs copy of Apple Mail (if you have a Mac!)
